The auction is run on a 24 hour clock. This forum will post the time when a player is introduced. If 24 hours passes and there are no other bids placed, that player is awarded to the GM that introduced him. If another GM places a bid, then the 24 hour clock restarts. Here are the guidelines when placing a bid:
1. Start a new thread for a new player. The Subject will be the player introduced. If you want to higher the bid use "Reply". Each GM must have their team name when they initially bid. For example: Gunslingers bid 2 warbucks on WR Tim Brown.
2. Please go to appropriate bid room for the position you want to bid on! Please do not introduce a bid for a running back in the tight end room!
3. All bids must be one warbuck higher than the original bid. (This will change in our first off-season auction where a player that was on a team, the original owner can match the bid.)
4. There will be a deadline as noted by the commissioner in which a player can no longer be introduced, but any existing bid can still be bid on.
5. You must have the number of warbucks you bid on in your account! Do not bid warbucks you do not have!
6. You can not rescind a bid once you placed it! If you introduce a player, and no one raises, be prepared to have that player added to your roster for at least one year!
7. Please refrain from any "smack talk" within the bidding rooms! Please just have your team name, player name, position, and warbuck value only!!! Any GM that "smack talks" in the auction room will be fined!
IMPORTANT!
If you win a player at auction, that player must be signed to a minimum one year contract, NO EXCEPTIONS! Be prepared to have that player added to your roster with at least a one year contract.
